ZeroV 2026 Legislative Updates: March 24

March 24, 2026

Today is day 52 of Kentucky's 60-day legislative session for 2026, and we are entering the final stretch!

Thursday is the last scheduled day for committee meetings, although we may still have some pop up next week. Next Thursday and the following Monday will be designated for Concurrence, during which both chambers will come together to resolve differences in versions of bills that have passed through both the House and the Senate. Following that, on April 2nd, the ten-day veto period will begin.

Bill Updates

Since our last update, we've updated the status of bills that are progressing this session. Read on for the details or click the links in the following list of bills below for additional information:

  • HB 338, focused on Eviction Expungement, has passed out of the House on March 18th and now heads over to the Senate.
  • A version of HB 500, Kentucky's Biennial Budget, was passed in the Senate last week and sent to conference committee on Thursday to begin the work of bringing the House and Senate versions together. That work continues this week.
  • HB 521, known as the Anti-Stalking Bill, was assigned to the Senate Judiciary last Monday.
  • HB 611, KY's DV Data Bill, passed out of the Senate Families & Children committee last week and is awaiting further action in the full Senate.
