Girl Scout Volunteers for Shop & Share

Volunteering for Shop & Share
Saturday, February 7, 2026
Shop & Share is a one-day donation drive where shoppers at participating local grocery stores are asked to “shop” for what they need and “share” an item with their local domestic violence program, benefitting their shelter pantry for the year ahead. ZeroV and its regional domestic violence shelter programs, in partnership with the First Lady of Kentucky, Kroger, and other regional grocers, host Shop & Share each year.
Both the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana and the Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road have played a crucial role in meeting domestic violence programs' volunteer needs and boosting total Shop & Share donations since the annual event began in 2008.
How Scouts Can Help
- Sign up for a Volunteer Shift. Volunteer duties include: greeting shoppers, handing out lists, and collecting donations. Volunteers may also assist with transporting or organizing items. Find instructions for how to sign up to volunteer with your local program using the directory below.
- Sport your Girl Scout Flair! Wear your Girl Scout sash or vest and bring a table sign if desired.
- Earn a Shop & Share Patch. Patches will be available after the event (pick up or mail). Questions? Contact McKenzie Gollar ([email protected]) or Melissa Wallace ([email protected]g).
- Note on Cookie Sales: Cookie sales are not allowed at Shop & Share locations on the day of the event.
Important - Please Read:
- All Scouts and troops must sign up directly with their local ZeroV Member program - no other forms or communication replace this sign-up requirement. See the directory below for instructions on how to sign up through your local program.
- There is no guarantee that volunteers will be inside, so come prepared for the weather and note that there will be traffic in the parking lots.
